The patent attack [1] on ClamAV by Trend Micro is simply unacceptable. That is why we have to boycott Trend Micro.
In order to be effective and give a strong sign to all aggressive patent abusers we have to be successful with this campaign. But if we fail it is an invitation for other abusers. That is why this is an urgent request for help. Please:
- Put banners on your site
- Write your opinion on your site, blog and mail the message to IT-decision makers, maillists and everyone you know who can help
- If you have media contacts please mail them the press release
- If you can translate the press release please do so ASAP [2]
- If you want to contribute consider joining the maillist [3]
A final note: patent attacks are a problem for both copyleft and copyright developers so please make this boycott as wide as possible.
